Pivot salad.....

Making a salad to go along with Patty's superb Goulash tonight, I discovered that the lettuce was er, pretty much compost and needed to be thrown out. 

Not despairing, I made do and created what I now christen: Bill and Patty's Cali salad:

fresh bell pepper, thinly sliced

A ripe avocado and some tomatoes also sliced as thin as i could*

some mozzarella medium diced

add some leftover fresh rosemary and thyme and drizzle it with my best olive oil and red wine vinegar, toss by hand and holy cow on a stick, it's scrumptious beyond belief. 

*Do this before cracking a cold eod beer for sure, for safety and accuracy
